Prison architecture has evolved from the idea of isolation and penitentiary to consolidation and rehabilitation during the last 200 years. Working closely with Sophie Angelis, Hedda Giertsen, architects Elisabeth Tostrup and Zahra Memarianpour, I designed and developed a responsive online exhibition for their research project about the history and current states of norwegian prison architecture. Originally displayed as an exhibition at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design in 2018.
This project is based on site plans and architectural drawings of six prisons, visits to prisons, tours inside and outside the buildings, interviews and talks with prisoners and staff.
