I love watching movies when travelling, so I decided to make myself some handy accessories for my new iPad. I needed a nice angled stand to keep it steady as well as a protective case. I found some really nice old teak wood cutoffs and started drawing, cutting and sanding. Although really hard to come by these days (and for good reasons) teak has some superior textures that really shines after maual sanding and thin layer of oil. I used leather cutoffs as cushioning in the first batch.
Instead of paying Apple or some other company, I bought 2 sheets of felt at Stoff og Stil in Oslo, made some drawings complete with stitch holes in Illustrator and had them laser cut at AHO. The result is really crisp even if it's hand stitched.
